150 years in Waupaca

Speaker examines history of Holly Funeral Home

The Holly Funeral Home has been a business and community supporter in Waupaca for more than 150 years.

Join the Waupaca Historical Society as it celebrates the history of the business and family at its next program.

“The Holly Family and Holly Funeral Home” will be presented at 6 p.m. Thursday, Aug. 15, at the Holly History and Genealogy Center.

Steve Johnson, of A.J. Holly and Sons Ltd. in Waupaca, will present it.

The program will be about the history of the Holly Funeral Home, from its start in 1865 through its location and building changes over the years.

He will also tell the story of the Holly family, its impact on the funeral business in the community and how the family legacy still lives on today.

The program will be held in the lower level of the Holly Center.

It is sponsored by A.J. Holly and Sons and Neuville Motors.

Refreshments will be served.
