Area sheep win at State Fair
Lauren and Makayla Johnson, of Manawa, exhibited grand champion sheep at the Wisconsin State Fair.
Makayla received grand champion suffolk ewe with her yearling.
Lauren received grand champion suffolk ram and grand champion ram overall with her yearling ram.
"The girls have done a tremendous job this year showing their sheep," stated their mother, Sue Johnson. "It is not an easy task to fit these sheep for the shows. Many hours go into the preparation."
Both girls are members of the Town & Country 4-H Club.
