Clintonville man killed in rollover
TOWNSHIP OF GERMANIA - A 25-year-old Clintonville man was killed in a rollover accident on CTH M in the Township of Germania, Shawano County, on Sunday, Aug. 29.
The Sheriff's Department received reports of the accident, along with information that there was an individual trapped underneath the vehicle. Upon arrival by Tigerton Ambulance, it was determined that the driver, Joshua Mefferd, was deceased.
After further investigation, police say it appears that the vehicle was traveling west on CTH M and failed to negotiate a curve. The vehicle then rolled several times into the ditch, eventually ejecting the driver. It is believed that alcohol, speed and safety restraints may have played a part in the accident.
