Library to show WWII spy film
"The Man Who Never Was" will show at 1:30 p.m. Thursday, May 3, at the Waupaca Area Public Library. Starring Clifton Webb, Gloria Grahame and Stephen Boyd, the film depicts how British intelligence deceived the German High Command into thinking that the 1943 spring offensive into southern Europe would attack through Greece rather than Sicily. Jack Rhodes will give the audience a brief historical background to the film. The film, popcorn, snacks and beverages are free.
