Lions Fly-in Breakfast set for Father’s Day
The Waupaca Lions Club will host its annual Fly-in Breakfast on Father’s Day, June 17, at the Waupaca Municipal Airport-Brunner Field. The breakfast will be served from 7 a.m. to noon and will include pancakes, sausage, eggs, orange juice, coffee and milk. In addition to a raffle, highlights of the day will include pilots flying in from throughout Wisconsin and free airplane rides for children ages 8 to 17. The free airplane rides are offered by the Young Eagles and sponsored by the Experimental Aircraft Association. The Young Eagles is an independent organization not sponsored by the Waupaca Lions Club. Parental permission is required for the rides. To make a reservation, call 920-867-2288. Money raised at the pancake breakfast will be used to support the Lions’ Camp for children who are challenged with sight and hearing problems, for leader dog programs, glasses for the needy, eyebank programs, Tomorrow’s Children, large print books for the Waupace Area Public Library and community betterment project.
