County fair orientation for junior exhibitors Aug. 16
An orientation for children who entered the Junior Department of the Waupaca County Fair will be held at 7 p.m. Thursday, Aug. 16, in the Youth Building at the fairgrounds in Weyauwega. The purpose of the orientation is to provide parents and youth with the information they need to have a positive experience at the county fair. First-time exhibitors may wonder such things as how they should prepare to exhibit, what they need to enter their exhibits, what time their exhibits need to be at the Youth Building and where they should park. Those questions and more will be addressed at the Aug. 16 orientation. This year’s county fair runs from Wednesday, Aug. 22 through Sunday, Aug. 26. For more information, contact Penny Tank at penny.tank@ces.uwex.edu or at 715-258-6230, at the UW-Extension office.
