Creative Converting to expand

Hoffmaster Group has announced that it will transfer all production and distribution from its InnoWare Paper plant in Menomonee Falls to its Creative Converting plant in Clintonville.

Plans call for an expansion project will begin immediately in Clintonville.

Once the expansion project is complete, about 40 new full-time hourly jobs will be added, along with 10 salary positions

Approximately 100 workers in Menomonee Falls will be laid off.

"Since the acquisition of InnoWare in 2011, we have carefully reviewed our overall operations and have taken steps to streamline processes," said Hoffmaster Group, Inc. President and CEO Rory Leyden. "This new action will allow us to further improve efficiencies to remain competitive in a challenging market, and optimize the overall supply chain by reducing shipping points to our customer base."

The ramp down of the operations will take place in phases from Jan. 1 through April of 2013. "This decision is not a reflection on the performance of the Menomonee Falls employees," said Leyden. "They have been very dedicated to building a successful business."

Officials in Clintonville are excited about the expansion of Creative Converting’s facilities.

"City officials are thrilled to have another opportunity to partner with Creative Converting on this expansion. The City is committed to assist Creative Converting in TIF and Utility relocation work.
