4-H clubs seek new members

Jan. 18, 2012 | 0 comments

The 4-H clubs in Waupaca County are encouraging new members to sign up before the Feb. 1 deadline.

Open to any boy or girl in kindergarten through high school seniors, 4-H provides learning opportunities for leadership, citizenship and life skills.

Members can attend summer or winter camp, participate in a performing arts contest, help people in their community and travel to other parts of the U.S. They can learn about computers, animals, aerospace, woodworking, crops, photography or the arts.

In Waupaca County, there are nearly 500 members of 17 local clubs.

For more information, call Penny Tank, at UW-Extension, 715-258-6230 or email her at penny.tank@ces.uwex.edu.
