Blood drive set for Aug. 3
A Clintonville community blood drive will be held with the Community Blood Center from noon to 6 p.m. on Tuesday, Aug. 3. The drive will take place at the Clintonville Community Rec Center in the community gym near the high school, located at 64 Green Tree Road in Clintonville.
Donation appointments are recommended. People may schedule an appointment by calling the blood center at 800-280-4102 or going to www.save3lives.org, using sponsor code wa31. Scheduling an appointment in advance reduces waiting time, keeping the total time required for a donation to less than an hour. Walk-in donors are always welcome.
High school blood donors trying to donate 8 times before graduation and receive a Gallon Grad award are encouraged to participate in the blood drive. Blood donors must be at least 17 years old (16 with parental permission), weigh at least 110 pounds, be in general good health, and bring a photo ID. Donors are encouraged to eat a regular meal and drink plenty of fluids prior to donating.
