Allenstein returns to council
Donna Allenstein, Bruce Brunner and Scott Rasmussen were elected to the Common Council in the April 3 election.
Brunner and Allenstein were unopposed, and Rasmussen ran as a write-in candidate.
Allenstein received 65 votes for the 2nd Ward seat. She previously served on the Common Council.
Brunner received 50 votes in the 1st Ward. In the 3rd Ward, Rasmussen received 33 votes as a write-in candidate.
Deputy City Clerk Becky Loehrke said voter turnout in the city for the April 3 election was 24 percent with a total of 202 people voting.
