Apples for pupils

Oct. 10, 2012 | 0 comments

The kindergartners from New London's Lincoln Elementary School recently visited Hofacker's Hillside Apple Orchard in Freedom.

The children learned all about the parts of a tree and how apple trees are useful to people and animals.

Miss Jody, the tour guide, showed us how apples get from the apple orchard to the grocery store. Students picked their own apples off the trees, and appreciated the hospitality provided by Hofacker's Apple Orchard.

Jace Young-Procknow is pictured here enjoying an apple. She is a member of Mrs. Laurie Herzfeldt's class.
