Blood drive planned for Dec. 19
A community blood drive is planned for Monday, Dec. 10. It will take place from Noon to 6 p.m. in front of the City Hall/Municipal Building in Manawa.
The blood drive is being hosted by the Manawa Chamber of Commerce.
"This is such a busy time of year," said Amy Sabee of the Community Blood Center. "With people planning celebrations and doing their holiday shopping, donating blood tends to get pushed lower on the to-do list. We really appreciate everyone who takes the time to donate blood. This holiday season, a blood donation can be an extraordinary gift for a hospital patient in need."
Donation appointments are recommended, and may be made by calling 920-596-2531 or going to www.save3lives.org. Walk-in donors are also welcome.
