CAF awards $3,450 in grants to schools

Oct. 5, 2011 | 0 comments

The Clintonville Area Foundation (CAF) has awarded $3,450 in grants to the Clintonville elementary and middle school to support educational programs relating to the natural world. The grant money will be used for educational field trips to the school forest, Navarino Nature Center, Mosquito Hill Nature Center, Waupaca County Recycling Center and the caves at Ledgeview.

A committee chaired by Sanny Oberhauser, with representatives of the teaching staff and the Foundation, meet each semester to review requests from the teaching staff for grants from the Natural World Fund and makes awards. A second round of grant requests will be reviewed later this year to be awarded the second semester of this school year.

The Natural World Fund was established within the Clintonville Area Foundation by Pete and Sanny Oberhauser to support educational curriculum in the Clintonville elementary and middle schools in the study of the natural world. For more information on the CAF, contact can be made at P.O. Box 244, Clintonville, WI 54929.
