Chamber's Music Trivia Event approaching
Citizens Bank in New London has partnered with Quiver N' Minnow and the New London Chamber of Commerce to hold their sixth annual Music Trivia Contest.
The event is open to the public and is being held on Thursday, Jan. 19, at Quiver N' Minnow, N3748 County Road T, New London.
The event, which is part of the Chamber's "Meet Your Business Neighbor" series, begins at 5 p.m. Refreshments and hors d'oeurves will be served. The Music Trivia Contest begins at 6:30 p.m.
During the event, pre-registered teams of four will guess the title of the song and the artist based on listening to eight seconds of each song. The songs will be arranged into the following categories: 50's, 60's, 70's, 80's, 90's and today's hits. Participants are encouraged to be creative and have team themes as there will be an award given out for team with the most "team spirit." The team with the most correct answers will win the event's traveling trophy, which is currently on display at Neumetal Fabricating, last year's winning team.
"This has been a wonderful event the past five years and we are looking forward to another fun-filled evening," said Citizens Bank-New London branch manager, Rita Thiel. "Not only is the event a lot of fun, it's a great way to meet other community members and to network."
Anyone who is a member of the New London Chamber or a spouse or employee of a chamber member is welcome to participate in the event. Pre-registration is required by calling the chamber office at 920-982-5822 or e-mailing or faxing your team information to chamber@newlondonwi.org or 920-982-6344. To participate in the event, teams must register by Thursday, Jan. 13, 2012.
