Christmas Choir Concert Dec. 13
The Clintonville High School Music Department will present its Christmas Choir Concert at 7:30 p.m. Tuesday, Dec. 13, in the High School Auditorium.
Directed by Rebecca Schettle, Mixed Choir will be performing "Cantate Domino" arr. by Kirby Shaw and "Do you Hear What I Hear" arr. by Harry Simeone. They will also sing "Winterlight" by Amy F. Bernon featuring a small group of singers including Laura Hoffman, Courtney Arndt, Mattison Beyersdorf, Brianna Wright, Tanner Scott, and Blake Hauser. They will finish with "Jazz Gloria" by Natalie Sleeth featuring a descant sung by Kaylye Balthazor, Victoria Kraemer, Savannah Bethke, and Laura Hoffman, with Alicia Moon on drums.
Chamber Choir will perform "Regina Coeli" by Palestrina, "Christmas Lullaby" by John Rutter, and "What Sweeter Music" by John Purifoy. They will finish with the familiar Ukrainian carol "Carol of the Bells" by Wilhousky, with Alicia Moon playing bells.
Varsity Show Choir will perform "Last Christmas" by George Michael, and the show choir ladies will perform "Candy Cane Lane" by Jennifer Zuffinetti. Show Choir will then sing a medley of familiar Christmas carols arranged by Mark Brymer in the style of the hit television show "Glee".
Soloists to be featured are Dayna Seymour, Brittany Novak, Marshall Faulks, Megan Pingel, Andrew Gast, Nathan Jerabek, Alicia Moon, and Riana Mefferd. Show Choir choreographers this year are Dayna Seymour and Riana Mefferd.
All choirs will join to perform the traditional "O Holy Night" by Adolphe Adam. Our senior soloist this year is Stacy Reinke.
The accompanist for the evening is Faye Johnson. Holiday refreshments and quilt raffle tickets will be sold by the Clintonville High School Music Boosters.
