Exchange student to speak in Rural
The Rural Historical Society will hold a chili supper at 5 p.m. Saturday, Feb. 4, at its headquarters on Main Street in Rural.
Sri Izzati Soekarsono, a Rotary exchange student at Waupaca High School, will be the featured speaker.
A native of Indonesia, Soekarsono is currently living with the family of Chris and Stacia Johnson in the village of Rural. She is active in sports and forensics, and plays the violin and piano. She has also written children's books.
The program is open to all members and friends of the Rural Historical Society. Rural is located five miles south of Waupaca, just off State Highway 22.
