First State Bank's Giving Tree is up
This week First State Bank of New London, began their "Share the Joy" holiday giving program for 2011. Customers and community members may stop into First State Bank's lobby to select an ornament from the bank's Giving Tree. The idea is to purchase a gift to fit the needs of the child listed on the ornament tag. Return your unwrapped gift to First State Bank by Friday, Dec. 9. If you wrap your gift please use the supplied tags to describe the gift.
Participants may keep the ornament as a remembrance of the joy they have shared with a child this holiday season.
The New London Community Cupboard will distribute all gifts to families in need just in time for Christmas. More than 400 toys and gifts were collected across the bank's six offices in 2010 due to the generosity of our customers and community members.
