Friends of the Library officers elected
Thirty plus people gathered last evening at the Clintonville Public Library to attend the 2011 Friends of the Clintonville Public Library Annual Meeting. A brief business meeting was conducted at the beginning of the meeting to elect the slate of officers for the upcoming year including President Steve Shelton, Vice-President Jean Giordana, Secretary Kathy Akey, Director Lenore Westpetal and Director Sanny Oberhauser.
A couple retiring individuals were recognized for their service to the library including Kathy Belliveau for her 23 years of service on the Clintonville Public Library Board (not to be confused with the Friends of the Library Board) and retiring employee Gale Hoffmann also for her many years of service to the library. Gale was hired as a part-time employee in 1981, became full time in 1986 till present.
The program was presented by Tim Sweet who is passionate about the restoration of Door County Lighthouses and the name of his presentation was "Lighthouse Restoration and Preservation in Door County".
