Holocaust survivor visits NLHS

Nov. 9, 2011 | 0 comments

District Bilingual Coordinator Lori Menning has her high school students researching the Holocaust of World War II.

They invited a Holocaust survivor, Mr. Golde, to the New London High School, where he addressed an audience of bilingual students, Culture Club members, several English and History classes, plus staff members and a school board member.

Students began the Holocaust presentation by telling about their current Holocaust work and inquiry studies. After the presentation, the bilingual students had this picture taken with their guest.

IN PHOTO: Mr. Golde autographs his book titled "Ragdoll" for ELL/Bilingual Students. Menning's students are writing his biography as part of the Adopt A Survivor program. Lori Menning submitted photos
