Dog Park grand opening Oct. 29
Bring your family or friends and your pooch to the grand opening of the New London Jaycees Dog Park Oct. 29 and celebrate the newest addition to the New London Parks System.
The fences are up and four pet waste stations are positioned around the park. Bring your recycled plastic bags with you to help fill the stations.
New London Parks and Recreation Department will perform a ceremony at Noon and you can take your pet for a leisurely walk around the park. Dress your dog in costume to participate in a doggy costume contest at 1 p.m. and win a prize. All dogs will receive a goodie bag, too.
For hungry pet owners, the comedic hometown team of Mad Dog and Merrill Grillin' Buddies will be on hand from 12-3 p.m. grilling brats and hot dogs.
The Dog Park is located off Highway 54, going east from Shawano Street. Take a right before the bridge viaduct onto River Road, and another right to arrive at the Dog Park.
Mark your calendars for Saturday, Oct. 29 and get your pups ready to experience a new adventure at the Dog Park.
