Kiss the Pig Porkfest in Fremont
Hope United Church of Christ in Fremont will host Kiss the Pig Porkfest from 11:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. Sunday, Nov. 13.
Pig out on June Otto's hometown cooking of pork loin and gravy, smashed red seasoned potatoes, hot honey glazed carrots and homemade applesauce.
Compete in "Pig News You Can't Use Trivia" and "Pin the Tail on the Pig."
The meal will conclude with the Kiss the Pig contest. The group of potential pig-smoochers are Mel Maierhafer, Dave Schmidt, Rev. Alex Tychkin and June Otto.
The participant who raises the most money over the next few weeks will win the "privilege" of puckering up and kissing a real, live pig. Funds raised will help send youth to a Christian camp.
To help the contestants in their quest to cozy up to some swine, contact the contestant of choice and make a donation.
Eat and cast your vote for whom you would like to see kiss the pig.
The suggested donation is $10. Purchase them by calling 920-446-2952. Ticket purchase in advance is suggested due to limited seating space.
Hope UCC is located at 8950 Alpine Road, three miles south of State Highway 110 on County Road H.
