Let your light shine on a drug free community
Red Ribbon Week is the oldest and largest drug prevention campaign in the country. and will be celebrated Oct. 22 - 30. This particular week serves as a way to take a stand for children through a commitment to drug prevention and education. The ultimate goal would be to live in a drug free America.
New London school counselors collectively are working to get the word out to students and the community, asking them to get involved. All of the New London Schools are selling luminaries for $2 a piece. Sixty percent of the proceeds will go to Community Action for Healthy Living, and forty percent of the proceeds will go toward drug and alcohol prevention in our schools. Luminaries will be lit on the school grounds after school on Tuesday, Oct. 25.
