Library fundraiser Saturday
Baskets filled with gifts, silent auction items, crafts and food make up Neuschafer Community Library's annual fundraiser.
The event will be held from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. Saturday, Nov. 19, at the village hall.
Library Director Susan Frick said there will be at least 200 themed baskets. "We're aiming for 250," she said. "All are priced under $50.
Bidding on the approximately 20 silent auction items will end at 3 p.m. Saturday. Winners do not need to be present. A list of the items can be found on the library's website at www.fremontpl.org. They can be viewed on the library's Facebook page.
All of the silent auction items are valued at $50 and up, Frick said.
"We have 137 gift certificates or gift cards from area businesses," she said of this year's fundraiser. "This is the biggest year ever."
The event will also include food and 19 vendor and craft tables.
Breakfast will be served at 8 a.m., and lunch begins at 11 a.m. The lunch will feature chicken from Ted's Grandview Supper Club and barbecue and chili.
The Friends of the Library will hold a bake sale.
