Light the Love Light Tree
Lights for St. Joseph's Love Lite Tree are on sale now through Dec. 2 at St. Joseph Residence, 107 Beckert Road, New London. November 11 - 19 they can be purchased at New London's Festival Foods. A $2 donation will buy a light for the tree that stands out in front of the residence on Division Street. A $50 donation will light a strand of lights. Your donation will honor the memory of a loved one or friend.
The formal Love Lite Tree ceremony will be 5:30 p.m., Fri. Dec. 2, in front of St. Joseph Residence on Division Street. For more information, call 982-5354.
The New London High School Band, directed by Adam Hart will play several holiday selections and the Honorable Mayor Gary Henke will light the tree. Santa and Mrs. Clause will also be on hand to greet everyone. Refreshments inside will follow the ceremony.
The New London Holiday Parade downtown will be this evening also.
