Make a Bike Wish

Dec. 21, 2011 | 0 comments

Officers and members of Clintonville Masonic Lodge 170 presented bicycles to Caitlin Huber and Lahrissa Kirvan Saturday, Dec. 17.

The bicycles were donated as part of the Make a Bike Wish program. Make a Bike Wish was a write-in contest open to boys and girls 8-11 years of age. Safety helmets were provided with each new bike.

Vernon Beall, program chairman, said, "This program is not only timely of the Christmas season, it also emphasizes Mason's pledge of charity to our neighbors and community".

Worshipful Master Rusty Mitchell reminded that bicycles are also donated to church youth groups during the year. He said, "Several bikes are also distributed at Christmas time by Goodfellows to boys and girls in needy families. Our joint venture has rapidly drawn community support and will be continued next year".

Celebrating the occasion are (left to right): FRONT ROW - Caitlin Huber, Lahrissa Kirvan; BACK ROW - Treasurer/Past Master Danford Jesse, Junior Deacon Mark Zachow, Past Master/Worshipful Master Edward "Rusty" Mitchell, and Past Master/Senior Warden Joseph Urban.
