Manawa students help children overseas

Nov. 23, 2011 | 0 comments

The congregation and students of St. Paul Lutheran Church and School in Manawa concluded its Pack A Shoe Box campaign last week. Along with the help of 1st Lutheran Church in Ogdensburg, more than 80 shoe boxes were collected.

St. Paul Lutheran Church and School has been participating in the Pack A Shoe Box campaign since at least 2000. The campaign is part of the Samaritan's Purse International Relief and is designed to collect shoe boxes filled with school supplies, toys, hygiene items, miscellaneous items and a personal note. The shoe boxes are then shipped to children overseas.
