Outstanding musicians
St. Martin Lutheran School and Band Director Connie Kramer announced that Caitlin Carpenter and Joshua Wedde were selected to participate in the 2012 National Band Association - Wisconsin Chapter All-State Junior Band.
The young musicians were nominated by their director and will perform with the group at the Finale Concert of the 28th annual convention of the NBA-WC. The concert will be held at the Performing Arts Center on the campus of Wisconsin Rapids Lincoln High School at 7 p.m. Saturday, Jan. 21, 2012.
The 2012 All-State Junior Band is comprised of 87 students from 38 schools throughout Wisconsin. Tim Kozlovsky, a well-known and highly respected music educator from Pulaski, Wisconsin, will conduct this year's band.
