Show Choir Invitational set for Feb. 4
The New London High School Show Choir will host its 13th annual Center Stage Show Choir Invitational on Saturday, Feb. 4.
Twenty-two show choirs from throughout Wisconsin will perform in daytime preliminary competition. The six highest scoring show choirs will perform again in the evening finals.
The day will begin at 8 a.m. with high school show choir performances by Green Bay Preble, Green Bay East, Monona Grove, Burlington, Flambeau, Holmen, Sauk Prairie, Colby, De Pere, Madison, Reedsburg. The middle school performances will be from 12:25-2:15 p.m. and include groups from New London, Mayville, Sauk Prairie and Colby.
The New London Middle School Show Choir will perform in exhibition at 12:25 p.m. and the New London High School Show Choir performs in exhibition at 6:15 p.m.
Doors open for finals at 7:45 p.m.
Judges for the event include Sarah Litzsinger from New York City, Greg Bell from Orlando, Lois Cuff from Hortonville, Erin Patchak from Green Bay, Dan Risgaard from LaCrosse, Adam Hardt from Appleton, Corrie Beula from Menasha, Abby Schmidt from Appleton and Brooksey Beilke-Scoug from Madison. Groups will be judged on vocal pedagogy, style, presentation, visual effects, choreography and instrumental accompaniment.
All admission tickets will be sold at the door. Daytime or final tickets are $10 or $15 for both daytime and finals. Admission for children age six and under is $6.
Concessions will be available throughout the day with all proceeds benefiting the New London High School Show Choir.
