Spring Choir Concert May 15
The Clintonville High School Music Department announces the Spring Choir Concert to be held Tuesday, May 15, at 7:30 p.m. in the high school auditorium under the direction of Rebecca Schettle.
Seniors are honored and awards are given, and selected state solo and ensemble performances are highlighted.
Junior Varsity Show Choir will perform "I Gotta Feeling" by the Black Eyed Peas. Student choreographers this year are Alicia Moon and Brittany Novak.
Mixed Choir will perform "Love Will Be Our Home" by Steven Curtis Chapman. Two Disney songs will be highlighted: "I See the Light" by Alan Menken and David Slater featuring soloists Kaylye Balthazor and Tanner Scott, and "Reflection" by Matthew Wilder and David Zippler featuring a duet by Savannah Bethke and Blake Hauser. Mixed Choir will also sing "Like a Mighty Stream" by Moses Hogan and John Jacobson. Selected solo and ensemble groups will also perform.
Chamber Choir will perform the Finale from The Gondoliers(Dance a Cachucha) and "Set Me As a Seal" from A New Creation by Rene Clausen. They will also sing "Seasons of Love" from the Broadway musical Rent featuring several senior soloists, and "Bridge Over Troubled Water" by Paul Simon. Selected solo and ensemble groups will also perform. Varsity Show Choir will perform a medley from the Broadway musical "Grease". Student choreographers this year are Dayna Seymour and Riana Mefferd.
Seniors will be acknowledged and awards will be given. Faye Johnson is the accompanist for the evening.
