Students learn about forestry

May 23, 2012 | 0 comments

Mid-State Technical College (MSTC) in Wisconsin Rapids recently sponsored the Spring 2012 Urban Forestry Career Day in Wisconsin Rapids.

Attending the event from Little Wolf High School with agriculture teacher Sandy Cordes were students Adam Michalowski, Britt Niemuth, Ian Field and Dustin Doman.

Students participated in a day's worth of hands-on activities designed to introduce attendees to the MSTC technician program, career opportunities, tree biology and a college overview. Activities included tree planting, pruning, climbing and a career fair.
