Waupaca Lions to sponsor exchange student
Local students are encouraged to apply for the Lion's International Youth Camp and Exchange Program.
This summer foreign exchange program is organized by Lions clubs around the world and provides the opportunity for young people (ages 16 to 22) to travel, meet and share cultural viewpoints.
Selected students will receive a scholarship for their airfare, international camp fees and other travel expenses, while living with host families in a country of their choice.
The Waupaca Lioness Club will sponsor a student for the 2012 summer program abroad.
Program information and applications can be requested from the club by calling Linda Kassera at 920-867-3693.
The Lioness will also have applications available in the Waupaca High School Student Services office.
A booth will be set up in the high school commons area over the lunch hours, where interested young people will be able to pick up information.
More information is available at the Lions Cultural Exchange webpage at www.wilions.org/youthexchange.
