Waupaca rec center offers computer classes for youth
Two new computer classes for youth are beginning at the Waupaca Recreation Center.
The classes are for ages 10 to 14 and will be held in the computer lab, located in the lower level of the center.
The courses will be instructional classes about Windows Movie Maker and Adobe Photoshop.
Both classes will run for eight weeks, with the cost of each class being $30. To sign up, visit the recreation center or call 715-258-4435.
The Adobe Photoshop class will run from 3:30 p.m. to 4:30 p.m. on Mondays, beginning Monday, Jan. 23.
Students will get to express their creativity through the art of altering different images, including photographs.
The Windows Movie Maker class will run from 3:30 p.m. to 4:30 p.m. on Wednesdays, beginning Wednesday, Jan. 25.
In that class, participants will find out what they can accomplish with Windows Movie Maker, what equipment they need to make digital movies and how to get footage from their camera to their computer.
Those who particiapte will also get the chance to produce their own movie and finalize a DVD.
