WAUPACA – Tim Lencki, author, speaker and personal trainer, has authored a new bookette series for active lifestyles available from Waupaca-based Impact Publications.
The idea of the series is to promote fitness in general, especially for groups that often have barriers to exercise.
“Our goal is to help people quickly define a problem, explore why it occurs, and then provide them with practical solutions,” said Lencki, who has a master’s degree in exercise physiology and is a specialist certified by the National Strength and Conditioning Association.
User-friendliness was a crucial consideration in developing the series, according to Scott Kolpien, president of Impact Publications. “People are so busy today. They don’t have time to read an entire book for the information they need.”
“Because we understand the value of your time, we have developed each bookette to take about an hour or less. However, it is still a lifelong investment in your health,” Lencki said.
Kolpien said bookette is broken into what, why and how steps that address a specific condition, explain the benefits of exercise for the ailment, and delve into specific guidelines for exercising.”
Other titles in the series include How to Exercise With Arthritis, How to Exercise With Asthma, How to Exercise With Diabetes, How to Exercise With Osteoporosis, How to Exercise With Heart Disease, How to Exercise With Back Pain, How to Exercise With Obesity and How to Exercise With Pregnancy, among others.
Each bookette also includes pictures and descriptions of exercises to help the reader get started. They cost $4.95 and are available locally at Chain BP, Jim’s Union 76 Truck Stop, Tower Mobil, Health and Fitness Headquarters, Julie’s Hallmark, and Spine and Sport Physical Therapy.
Lencki has spent 19 years in the fitness industry. He has developed hundreds of exercise programs and has spoken on many topics related to fitness and motivation in the community and statewide. He is also the author of Fitness One Day at a Time.
