Waupaca woman charged with felony child abuse
Jeorgette A. Young, 33, Waupaca, was charged Aug. 12 with physical abuse of a child, misdemeanor battery and disorderly conduct.
She is accused of slapping a boy in the face in January and giving him a bloody nose.
According to the criminal complaint, the boy allegedly became angry when she refused to let him go to basketball practice due to his grades.
The boy reportedly went into his room and began throwing things around and breaking his toys. She then went into his room to make him stop. She allegedly slapped the boy when he called her a child molester.
She faces up to three years in prison if convicted of child abuse.
