Bail jumping charged
Brian J. Hejda, 35, Waupaca, was charged with felony bail jumping and operating a vehicle after his license was revoked.
On July 18, Waupaca County Sheriff's Deputy Gene Goode was in an unmarked squad car on School Street in Waupaca when he saw a driver who was not wearing a seatbelt. He made a traffic stop.
According to the criminal complaint, when Goode asked the driver, identified as Hejda, for his license, Hejda said he did not have one because it was revoked.
In March 2010, Hejda was convicted of a fourth offense of operating while intoxicated and his license was revoked for three years.
On May 14, 2012, Hejda was charged with a fifth OWI and operating after revocation.
He was released on a $2,000 signature bond.
