Check forgery charges filed
Jesse J. Wohlrabe, 25, Readfield, was charged with 10 felony counts of forgery uttering.
On Feb. 12, Waupaca County Sheriff's Deputy Traci LaBrosse met with Wohlrabe's grandmother, who accused Wohlrabe of stealing her checks and forging her signature.
According to the criminal complaint, Wohlrabe cashed 10 checks at area bars, stores and with friends, totaling $900 from October 2011 to February 2012.
The Waupaca County district attorney's office is currently prosecuting burglary and theft charges against Wohlrabe from two separate cases filed in November and December of 2011.
