Driver charged with felony OWI
Greg M. Masanz, 39, Menasha, was charged with a third drunken driving offense.
Because he had two children in his vehicle at the time of his arrest, Masanz faces a felony convicton.
On May 13, State Trooper Kendi Linjer was running stationary radar on U.S. Highway 10 near County X in Weyauwega when she clocked an eastbound vehicle traveling at 81 mph. She made a traffic stop after the vehicle pulled over into a parking lot off River Road.
According to the criminal complaint, Masanz had two girls, ages 18 months and 10 years old, in the vehicle with him and his wife. He reportedly had a 0.15 blood-alcohol level.
Masanz was previously convicted of drunken driving offenses in February 1998 and December 2008.
