Manawa man accused of domestic abuse
Bryan J. Oliver, 36, Manawa, was charged with misdemeanor battery, disorderly conduct and felony bail jumping in an alleged domestic abuse incident.
On Dec. 5, Oliver's girlfriend told police that he had grabbed her by the shirt and slapped her in the face. When police arrived at the house, the lights were off and Oliver allegedly held the woman down and covered her mouth with his hand.
According to the criminal complaint, Oliver told police that the woman had injuries on her face because she rolled out of bed and struck a night stand. Police described the stand as a "small TV tray stand that had belongings on top of it, which looked as if they had not been moved in awhile."
On Nov. 8, Oliver was charged with narcotics possession and released from custody after he posted a $1,000 cash bond.
