Teen faces pot charges
Gavin J. Gossett, 17, Appleton, was charged with possession of marijuana with intent to deliver and two counts of possession of drug paraphernalia.
On Jan. 13, Marion Police Officers Clay Davis and Eric Krause clocked a red Jeep at 67 mph on U.S. Highway 45. They pulled the car over.
According to the criminal complaint, Gossett was a passenger in the vehicle. The officers noticed what smelled like marijuana coming from the car. They reported finding marijuana, a weighing scale and a pot pipe in a backpack that allegedly belonged to Gossett. Police also found that Gossett had $250 in cash, which they considered suspicious because he has no job.
