Waupaca woman charged with shoplifting
WAUPACA - Tara J. Dalrymple, 32, Waupaca, was charged with retail theft and felony bail jumping.
Shortly after 1:30 p.m. Sunday, Dec. 4, Waupaca Police Officer Diana Flatoff was dispatched to Pick 'n Save in response to a report of shoplifting.
Two women, one wearing a yellow jacket and the other wearing a green jacket, had been seen leaving the store with a cart full of unpaid groceries. Employees told police that they saw the women bagging the groceries out in the parking lot.
Flatoff stopped the women in the parking lot.
According to the criminal complaint, Dalrymple told Flatoff that she forgot her Quest card and planned to return and pay for the groceries.
Inside a purse that belonged to the other woman, who has not been charged at this time, Flatoff found movies, makeup and hair accessories.
Pick 'n Save estimated that the cart had $355 in groceries and the purse had $219 in stolen products.
On July 5, Dalrymple was charged with burglary, possession of drug paraphernalia and misdemeanor bail jumping in Waushara County. She was released after posting an $800 cash bond. On Dec. 7, Dalrymple's felony charges were amended and she was convicted of misdemeanor theft.
