Weyauwega man faces drug charges
WAUPACA - Sean C. Crews, 27, Weyauwega, was charged with two counts of possession of a controlled substance, possession of narcotics and possession of marijuana.
If convicted of narcotics possession, Crews faces up to three years in prison, plus an additional two years in prison because he has been charged as a repeat offender.
On Nov. 30, Weyauwega Police Officer Adam Rogge and State Trooper Kendi Linjer went to a home on the 300 block of Birdsall Street, Weyauwega, with a warrant for Crews' arrest.
According to the criminal complaint, the woman who answered the door said Crews was not there. Officers heard someone moving around in the garage, and Linjer arrested Crews as he attempted to leave through the garage's back door.
Linjer reported finding a green medicine bottle with 11 pills that included Vicodin, Adderall and methadone, as well as two marijuana seeds. Crews allegedly had no prescription to the medications.
Crews' prior criminal convictions in Waupaca County include failure to report a crime in October 2007, criminal damage to property in December 2006 and disorderly conduct in June 2005. He was also convicted of resisting an officer in March 2007 in Outagamie County.
Earlier this year, the Waupaca County district attorney's office dropped felony charges against Crews of armed robbery and providing a firearm to a minor.
