The Waupaca Community Arts Center is located at 200 N Main. It exists to provide local artists a venue for the display and the sharing of their creations and creativity. Do stop by on TUESDAY THROUGH SATURDAY to see what we are about. Stop by TUESDAY AFTERNOONS to hang out with the KNITTING/CROCHETING group; or alllllll day WEDNESDAYS for BEADING and JEWELRY making. This is FREE, though donations of chocolate are always greatly appreciated. There is much to learn and share and, what's more, you are allowed to engage in general silliness and outright jocularity if you wish. WAIT! THERE'S MORE! Here is the current list of exciting CLASSES on offer at the Arts Center: Kaleidoscopes - BUILD YOUR OWN KALEIDOSCOPE!!!!! - a very popular class - will be offered once a month on Saturdays through July. Class fee and prior registration required. The April 28th class is full. Other dates are MAY 19, JUNE 23, JULY 21. WATERCOLOR with LAUREL GEYER (A BONA FIDE LOCAL ARTIST!) - starts APRIL 25th; this is a 3 day class scheduled once a week for 3 weeks. Class fee and prior registration required. Open CERAMICS - All ages - once a month starting SATURDAY, APRIL 14th, from 10:30 - 2. Additional dates are MAY 5, JUNE 9, and JULY 7. ARTISTS NIGHT will be THURSDAY, APRIL 19th, from 5 to 8: there will be TOM NIELING, photographer, ANITA GOLKE, felting (and MORE!), and BARBARA WIESE, bookmaking. This is FREE! and there will be treats! SUE PRIMEAU, Florida WATERCOLORIST, will be back for a 2-day class this summer, JULY 27-28. Prior registration and fee required.
