Kids, parents celebrate at rec center
By Greg Seubert
Halloween showed up a few days early in Waupaca this year.
The city’s Parks & Recreation Department held its annual Halloween party at the Waupaca Recreation Center.
The free community event included games, crafts, face painting, an appearance from Dizzy D Clown, a photo booth and more.
The department also partnered with the Friends of the Waupaca Area Public Library to sponsor the showing of “Coco” on a large screen in the center’s blue gym. The film was originally scheduled to be shown during the summer, but the event was postponed because of the weather.
