County Q to be closed

Road work slated to begin Sept. 14

County Trunk Q in Farmington, between State Highway 54 and Round Lake Road, will be closed for construction starting Monday, Sept. 14.

According to the Waupaca County Highway Department, the road will be closed for about two months.
A detour will be in place from County Q to State 54 to County Trunk QQ back to County Q.

The county is working with emergencies agencies and the school district to inform them of this road closure.

The work will be done by Faulks Brothers Construction.

The project will include removing the existing pavement and topsoil, widening the roadway, realigning the curve at Golke Road, improving the drainage and replacing all culverts.

County Q will remain a gravel road until spring 2016 when the surface will be paved.
