Jeannette K. Harvat, Waupaca, WI (Formerly of Fond du Lac), age 92 - died on Sunday, September 5, 2010 in Waupaca. She was born on March 19, 1918 in Boyd, WI., a daughter of the late Peter and Esther Korb. She married Florian W. Harvat on April 26, 1935 in Milwaukee, WI. Jeannette is survived by four children, F. William (Polly) Harvat, Jr. of Waupaca, WI, Katherine (Ron) Boehlke of Klamath Falls, OR, John (Nancy) Harvat of Houston, TX, and Mark (Debra) Harvat of Jupiter, FL, 16 grandchildren, and 12 great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, a brother, and a great granddaughter. Jeannette earned a degree in Cosmetology. She and Florian owned and operated Florian's Beauty Salon in Fond du Lac for many years. They then moved to Minneapolis where they owned and operated beauty schools throughout the Minneapolis area. She was a Daughter of Isabella, a Soroptimist, and a member of St. Mary Magdalene Catholic Church in Waupaca. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at the St. Mary Magdalene Catholic Church in Waupaca, WI on Thursday, September 9, 2010 at 10:30 AM, with Father Brian Belongia, Celebrant. A Committal service will be held at 3:00 PM at the Calvary Cemetery Chapel in Fond du Lac, followed by entombment. WI. Friends may call at the St. Mary Magdalene Catholic Church in Waupaca on Thursday morning, one hour prior to the time of the funeral mass. In lieu of flowers, memorials are appreciated to St. Mary Magdalene Catholic Church, or to Hospice in the name of Jeannette K. Harvat. The Holly Funeral Home of Waupaca is assisting the family with arrangements.
