Donald J. Lawrence, age 78, of Waupaca, WI passed away unexpectedly on Thursday, April 12, 2012 at his residence. Don was born in La Crosse, WI on June 5, 1933 the son of Eda G. Lawrence. The day after his 18th birthday, Don enlisted in the US Air Force and served for 20 years. He then worked for over 24 years at the Wisconsin Veterans Home before retiring. On July 27, 1956 Don married Eunice E. Nulton in Greenwood, WI. Don is survived by his wife, Eunice E. Lawrence, Waupaca; his children: Stephen (Lisa) Lawrence, Waupaca and Mardana (Keith Cameron) Lawrence, Waupaca; his grandchildren:   Christopher (Jackie) Lawrence, Greenville, WI; Jennifer Lawrence, Waupaca and Sara Lawrence, Waupaca; step-grandchildren: Graham Britton, Waupaca; Ashley Britton, San Antonio, TX and Yorick Cameron, Waupaca and his step great grandchildren: Luca and Baen Kearney. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his mother, Eda. The Funeral Service was held on Tuesday, April 17 at 11 AM at Holly Funeral Home in Waupaca with Pastor Rich Engle, officiating. Military Graveside Services followed in Rural Cemetery, Town of Dayton. Visitation was on Tuesday morning from 9:30 to 11 AM at the funeral home. Holly Funeral Home in Waupaca is assisting the family with arrangements.
