Four area softball teams and one local baseball team are playing Thursday, May 31, for a regional championship. Hortonville’s softball team visited Appleton North in Division 1, New London hosted Little Chute in Division 2, Amherst traveled to Stevens Point Pacelli in Division 3 and Almond-Bancroft hosted Wisconsin Rapids Assumption in Division 4. Hortonville’s baseball team also hosted West De Pere in Division 1, while Clintonville’s baseball team wrapped up a Division 2 regional championship May 30 with a 13-7 win over Mosinee. The Truckers will take on Green Bay Notre Dame at 11 a.m. Tuesday, June 5, in Marinette, with the winner to face Fox Valley Lutheran or Luxemburg-Casco at 5 p.m. June 5, also in Marinette.
