Local gymnasts at nationals
Waupaca’s Hannah Sroka and Nicole Donaldson were at the AAU National Championships in Wisconsin Dells June 23.
Donaldson, competing in Level 8, placed third on floor with a score of 9.1, third on beam (8.1), third on vault (8.4) and fourth on uneven bars (6.3) to place fourth all-around.
Sroka, competing in Level 7, placed second on vault (9.45), second on beam (8.95), fifth on floor (9.25) and sixth on uneven bars (6.9) to take fifth all-around.
They train at Carousel Gymnastics in Plover.
Fifty-three girls competed in Level 8 and 12 girls in Sroka’s age group.
