Football camp kicks off
It won’t be long before area high school football teams will hit the field. Waupaca players got an early start to the season with a five-day camp with coach John Koronkiewicz and his staff. The camp began July 9 and runs through July 13. Practice begins Aug. 3. Waupaca’s schedule is: Friday, Aug. 24, at Winneconne, 7 p.m. Thursday, Aug. 30, vs. Shawano (nonconference), 7 p.m. Friday, Sept. 7, vs. Berlin, 7 p.m. Friday, Sept. 14, at Clintonville, 7 p.m. Friday, Sept. 21, vs. Little Chute, 7 p.m. Friday, Sept. 28, at Appleton Xavier, 7 p.m. Friday, Oct. 5, vs. Fox Valley Lutheran, 7 p.m. Friday, Oct. 12, at Ripon, 7 p.m.
