Auburndale tops Thunderbird girls
Auburndale hit six of 10 three-pointers in a 64-29 nonconference girls' basketball win Tuesday, Dec. 6, over Iola-Scandinavia.
The Apaches led 13-5 after one quarter, 33-15 at halftime and 53-18 after three quarters.
Karina Welch led the Thunderbirds with seven points, while Brooke Phillips led the way with five rebounds. Auburndale's Emma Steines led all scorers with 22 points.
The T-Birds opened Central Wisconsin 8 Conference play Tuesday, Dec. 13, in Shiocton and will host Amherst Friday, Dec. 16.
